Janis Gioia is a special educator and children’s meditation teacher with more than 25 years of experience supporting children with anxiety, trauma histories, sensory sensitivities, and complex emotional needs.
She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and has worked across preschool through high school, specializing in gentle, developmentally attuned emotional regulation practices.
An award-winning writer, Jan creates story-based calming tools that blend child development, trauma-sensitive language, and neuroscience-aligned pacing.
Her work helps children navigate medical procedures, stress, overwhelm, and difficult life events by offering consistent comfort and accessible emotional support.
Her practices are used in homes, schools, pediatric care settings, and child-focused organizations to help children feel safe, grounded, and supported in moments that matter.
